This spring break, campers are invited to join Foodies of Loudoun—a high-energy, taste-testing adventure that blends culinary exploration, writing, math, and real-world media skills. Each day, students will hop aboard the LAB bus and visit a different exciting food destination, from bubble tea and mochi donuts to local Loudoun favorites and global flavors. Campers will sample menus, budget their orders, and step into the role of food critics by writing daily reviews, rating their experiences, and publishing real Google Reviews. Along the way, students will sharpen their writing, evaluative thinking, and math skills—without ever losing sight of the fun. This camp is perfect for curious kids who love food, adventure, and sharing their opinions. FAQs 📅 When does camp run? Foodies of Loudoun runs March 30–April 3, during Loudoun County Spring Break. ⏰ What are the daily hours? Camp runs 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. each day. 📍 Where is drop-off and pick-up? Daily drop-off and pick-up will be at Mount Zion Park. 🚌 How do campers travel to food locations? Campers will travel together on Harold the bus to a different food destination each day. 🍩 Do campers eat at the restaurants? Yes! Campers will sample food at each location as part of the experience. Portions and ordering will be structured and supervised. 💰 Do families need to send money for food? Food costs will be handled by LAB as part of camp programming. Campers will practice budgeting and ordering using provided parameters—no cash needed. 🧠 What skills are taught during camp? Campers practice: Writing & opinion-based reviews Math skills through menu budgeting Critical thinking & comparison Media literacy by publishing real Google Reviews 🎒 What should campers bring each day?
