During this hands-on culinary innovation camp, explorers step into the roles of food scientists, entrepreneurs, and creative designers as they develop their very own ice cream flavor and brand. Grounded in Virginia K–5 Standards of Learning and brought to life through real-world experiences, this week blends science, math, technology, and the arts into one unforgettable (and delicious) adventure. 🔍 Big Question: How can we use science and math to create the perfect summer treat? 🧠 What Campers Will Explore... 🔬 Science: States of matter and the chemistry behind frozen treats 🎨 Arts: Branding and product design ➗ Math: Fractions, measurement, and ingredient ratios 💻 Technology: Food tech and digital creativity ⚙️ Engineering: Systems thinking and product development 🚀 Signature Project: Each camper will design, test, and pitch their own original ice cream flavor and brand, using real scientific processes, mathematical thinking, and creative design strategies.
